SUGARCULT- Tim
Pagnotta
Who influenced you to
start a band? No one really influenced us. We just loved music
- and it was easier than finished college.
What were some of your
favorite shows? Definitely overseas, in Japan. Big cities are
tense, usually two week into the tour we can finally relax. We've
had some great shows in Japan and in Pittsburg.
Do your parents
support the band? They didn't support when we first started.
They had bigger expectations - like education. My father has a
Master's and my mom has a degree.
What was your first
show like? It was at a coffee house - it was an acoustic show.
It was sold out beecause we did so much self promoting.
What did you do to get
through the hard times? Each person has a unique personality,
and we usually just keep to ourselves. We do our own thing - I
usually jog. We're a pretty private band.
Is Detroit the
place? Big cities kind of have a magnetic pull to it. They
all seem to have a similar vibe - New York and LA are the same.
Chicago and Philly are the same.
Anything else? We
have a new record coming out. We just finished recording it - it was
produced by Gavin McKillop.
