Nicole: first question, how did JAJ begin?

Jason: it's kind of a long story...here its goes

Nicole: alright

Jason: Aaron and I thought that we would make a band. We made a three piece band with a friend from school. We played for a while just playing covers but we had our differences and went our seperate ways. So i made a new band with my brother, my cousin, and a different friend from school but we ended up getting rid of the friend and replacing him with aaron.

Nicole: And now you're here today?

Jason: yah

Nicole: that's awesome

Jason: writing our own songs finally

Nicole: how long have you been a band?

Jason: little of a year and a half

Nicole: You've come a long way then. What's your fan base like?

Jason: well its getting bigger and bigger each show.there isnt much of a local band scene here yet. we have improved so much over the last six months so now more people are hearing about us. but the fans we do have are really awesome. now i know what bands mean when they say they have the coolest fans.

Nicole: Yeah, fans are always the best. About how many on average come out to your shows?

Jason: well it all depends. jackson is so small and its so hard to have big shows because of the lack of venues here. but we are starting to fill the places we play now when it used to be like all friends and family members. its so cool playing on stage and seeing people you dont actually know in the crowd.

Nicole: I agree, that would be sweet. What was your first show like?

Jason: first show...

Jason: us four?

Nicole: Yes

Jason: well...it was really good actually the place was filled but we werent very good at the time and we played like 99 % covers and we opened for a bluegrass disco band.

Jason: but it was really fun

Nicole: What songs did you play?

Jason: we played blink, nfg, reliant k, lucky 7, greenday, fenix tx, 311 and other songs we liked that hardly anyone knew.

Nicole: Did the fans enjoy it though?

Jason: yeah. pretty much no one knew punk bands until we started playing shows and getting it out there

Nicole : What inspired you to start playing?

Jason: well this band all started because of blink 182 and mxpx but other bands like new found glory, good charlotte, mest, fenix tx and others have all inspired us to make our band better

Nicole: What was the very first venue you played at?

Jason: P.J.'s Sportsbar

Nicole: Did you like it?

Jason: yeah it was pretty good for our first show together. It was an odd mix up of music. A acapella doowap group, us and then a bluegrass disco band

Jason: so it was pretty strange but we had a good turnout for our first show

Nicole: What's your favorite place to play at?

Jason: house parties!

Jason: they are the best

Nicole: Because of the people, or just the area?

Jason: last time there were people crowd surfing through the house

Jason: the people

Nicole: Oh that's awesome!!

Nicole: What was the first CD you remember buying?

Jason: first!?

Nicole: well, first "punk" CD

Jason: ok

Jason: mxpx "life in general"

Nicole: that's a good CD

Nicole: What are your future plans for the band?

Jason: to get as succesful as we can. this is the only thing we want to do. music is so important to us.

Nicole: that's a good goal
