A brief band bio/history
Search The City started in the summer of 2003 with Alex, Jimmy Full Blast and Josh. Without the right people to make the band happen the right way everyone went their separate ways, Jimmy Full Blast moved to Florida, Josh moved to Florida and Alex joined the band, The Fall Away, where he met Adam McMillion and Jim Baird. Jimmy Full Blast came home for Christmas, jammed with Alex, Jim and Adam and they all decided to re-kindle Search the City. They used a few old songs and began writing new ones, they started trying out singers, this one singer wouldn't try out unless his friend Andy could play also, we ended up adding our 3rd guitarist Andy and booting the singer. After half a year we convinced Josh to come back home and rock out with us. After that it was all down hill, we all got along, best friends, and loved playing music together. End of story.

Where did the band name originate?
Jimmy Full Blast, Alex, and Josh use to jam in Full Blast's dad's garage and we were all from different cities so we decided on "Search the City."

What inspired you to start a band?
My passion for music, and the way it makes people feel really inspired me to start a band.

What are some of your influences?
We all love music of all genres. From Billie Holiday, Beach Boys, Refused, Copeland, CCR, Frank Sinatra, Plumb, Thrice, Blink 182.

What was your first song?
The first song as band was May's Funeral.

Where and when was your first show? What was it like?
Our first show was at a birthday party for Adam's cousin.

About how many people were in attendance?
There was about 60 people - it was a pretty good turn out and kids really dug the music.

What's your fan base like?
Our fan base keeps growing and growing the more we play shows and promote the band.

What's the coolest thing a fan has done for you?
One fan took some photos we had of each other and Photoshopped some cartoon heads on our heads. We thought it looked cool so we actually had it for our MySpace photo for a while...haha.

Do your parents support it?
Most of our parents support it, some of our parents think education is the road to go.

Favorite thing about being in a band?
My favorite thing about being in a band is writing music, getting to travel around with my bro's and meet new people and hearing about how they can relate to the music.

What's one of the best shows you've played? How many people/what was the response?
Our best show was at the Village Idiot for our CD release. There were about 350 people there, everyone was going nuts and crowd surfing and having a good time. We had a couple contest's during our set where fans could win free stuff and it was over all a good time.

What was your first tour like?
Our first tour surprisingly was a success, and that's not likely for a band. all though we didn't have a show booked everyday, we ended up making money on the tour instead of losing it.

What do you do to pass the time on tour?
To pass the time on tour we watch DVD's, play Uno, listen to music, make fun of each other, we have a mud wrestling pit in the middle of the van so we all get a little wild, haha just kidding.  We hustle CDs, talk to new people, see the sites, drive and sleep a lot.

Whats your favorite song to play live?
My favorite song to play live is "Streetlight Diaries"

What bands would you like to tour with?
Copeland or Jimmy Eat World for me.  The rest of the band:  Underoath, Refused, Dream Theater, Justin Timberlake, Hulk Hogan and the wrestling boots.

Where's your favorite place to tour?
Mine is definitely Boston and California

What's the main goal of the band?
The main goal of the band is to be successful so we can all do what we love for a living PLAY MUSIC!

How have things changed for the band since you started?
We have molded and perfected our sound as a band.  We have all become closer friends.  We've released our first record, toured and we just keep growing the older we get as a band.

If you could say one thing to the people reading this right now who have never heard you, what would it be?
If you like high voltage rock with awesome smooth vocals, great harmonies and triple guitarmonies then check us out!

Anything else? (feel free to plug your CD, shows, site, etc)
We will be on tour this July with Monument Monument, so come check us out. If you can help us get some dates booked our route is on our myspace page. Thanks.
