Where did the band name originate?
It came tome in a dream while I was rolling around keeping myself up at night worrying about everything

What inspired you to start a band?
My long time friend Sadat Hossain

What are some of your influences?
Cursive, Pinback, The Foo Fighters, my friends and family.

What was your first song?
HAHAH I think it was a song way way way long ago called "Old People Jumping on the Couch"

Where and when was your first show? What was it like?
It was in this Masonic Hall here in Port Huron Michigan. I was 14 and it was with my first band called Winston Churchill Youth Brigade.
HAHA I was so nervous a lot of my friends came out to see and that made it worse. I remember wearing this stupid hat. But the other bands made it better by telling me I was going to be ok... WOW these are intense questions

About how many people were in attendance?
100

What's your fan base like?
they are great. very diverse but great. We get older people who like our stuff and Younger. We don't discriminate. However younger kids who are REALLY into Pop Punk or Metal aren't really fans it takes a certain kind of of mind to really get into us. and I like that

What's the coolest thing a fan has done for you?
Made me smile. every time someone makes me smile it makes it worth it for me. Some people give us money when we are broke and breaking down on the side of roads or can't afford to eat. And that's REALLY cool too. Haha...   But I really just love to see faces and see those faces smile cause that's what makes me smile.

Do your parents support it?
Yea my parents are pretty kick ass.

Favorite thing about being in a band?
Playing music with great people and the people we get to meet. I really just love the experience.

What's one of the best shows you've played? How many people/what was the response?
Wow there have been so many great shows that's a very hard thing to say. I guess it doesn't really matter how many people are there, but how much fun you are having doing what you are doing. We have played HUGE shows before with bands like the Used and Motion City Soundtrack. And those were fun I had a blast, but it doesn't compare to when all four of us are meshing and vibing brilliantly on stage together. Those are the best shows

What was your first tour like? (if applicable)
It was HORRIBLE. we did all west Coast and lost a lot of money. The shows sucked and we played like shit. But this was like 3 almost four years ago. we were just anxious kids wanting to see the world you know. HAH

What do you do to pass the time on tour? (if applicable)
I drive and then spend the majority of my time freaking out because I have bad anxiety.

What's your favorite song to play live?
Shake like thunder. I get the most energy from that song

What bands would you like to tour with?
Pinback definitely. The Arcade Fire. I'd like to tour with Head Automatica because their singer is like an idol of mine. I'd like to be on the road with Far reincarnated back in 99. That would be amazing.

Where's your favorite place to tour? (if applicable)
Ilove the east coast and I love Minneapolis and Memphis Tennessee. GREAT people there!!!

What's the main goal of the band?
To sell a million CD's and get laid every night.. Haha no just kidding. We want to have fun and meet people. We want to make a difference in the way people listen to music. I want to mean something special to people the way some band mean to me!

How have things changed for the band since you started?
We have gotten better obviously. But things are pretty much the same since we changed the name to HEIRS

If you could say one thing to the people reading this right now who have never heard you, what would it be?
I would say that we love you!
